Typical Web Design Process

Here’s a look at what a typical small business owner or WAHM will experience during their website’s creation.

Step #1
Request a quote using the link above. If you accept the quote, just half is due to start with the rest due on completion before your site goes “live”. You’ll be sent a new client questionnaire and once this is received, we’ll get started! You are free to ask any question you have at any stage of the process, I encourage it so you aren’t left wondering about anything.

Step #2: Design
Using the information you’ve provided me, I begin working on the actual website’s design. I offer revisions, so rest assured you aren’t “stuck” with what you see on the first draft I send. Using your feedback, I revise the draft until you are happy with it. Once the design is approved, we move on to…

Step #3: Development
The development is where the coding of the site is done, and where I add your website’s content. I create a test folder on my website for your project and all files are uploaded to the test until we are ready to go live. If you have a static website, I will build the html pages and css file(s), ensuring valid coding and maximum search engine optimization of your content. If you have a WordPress, CMS or eCommerce website, I will install a test installation in your project folder and you will be able to view both the website and test out the admin area.

Step #3: Finishing up
Once everything has been approved and the final payment made, your website is uploaded and tested. Any additional changes to the site from this point are billed as maintenance.
